  1. What are the chances of getting cancer from using skin bleaching creams?
I recently bought a bleaching cream that contains the ingredient Hydroquinone that from what ive heard, can cause cancer. I’m scared, and I’m not sure if I should start using it or not. What exactly are the chances of getting cancer and how exactly would it cause cancer?

Thankyou >< Thanks Ellen :) I’m starting to persuade myself not to use it anymore.

    • Hello…Anything that changes cell structure or alters normal cellular production or division has the potential to cause cancer. Cancer by definition is simply an abnormal growth of cells. When you use this cream it is going to be altering the normal cellular response of the cells that produce pigmentation. This is how this cream is potentially “cancer causing”. Why risk it? I’m certain that you are beautiful just the way you are. There is no need to use this cream. So you are darker skinned or perhaps there are some areas that are lighter than others who cares? You are a wonderful person who deserves to be healthy. I hope that this has helped is some small way. Best of luck to you.

  3. What are the ingredients in Tide and Gain laundry detergents (read description)?
Im doing a science fair project & i’d like to also know the following >>

Which detergent cleans better on stains/oil
What makes it clean better &
What ingredients makes it clean better? THANKS!!

    • The real compositions of particular brands of laundry detergents are a trade secret. If you want information on this, go to a library and look for a book on detergents, surfactants, emulsifiers etc in the McCutcheon series.

      http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=McCutcheon%20detergent

The cleaning ability of any detergent is usually shown by the price. The really cheap brands are often not much good, the medium price ones are better. The really expensive ones are probably not all that much better than the medium price ones.

A laundry detergent is a mixture of many different single chemicals and substances.typically it may have Fullers earth, a fluorescent dye, anionic or cationic detergents and even non-ionic detergents. There is usually some sodium carbonate as well, a bleach like sodium perborate too.

The manufacturers buy the single chemicals in bulk, and they will use whatever is cheapest at the time So the actual composition may vary slightly from batch to batch. The same thing goes for hair shampoos and conditioners, skin creams, kitchen detergent and many other such products.

  4. How do I get rid of a stubborn Ringworm?
I have had this damn this on my shoulder for about 3 weeks… I tried the creams and found no results. I also I have used the bleach and water solution a couple of times, and did find it helped, but didn’t make it go away yet. I have now switched to using straight bleach on it… my question is, how often and long do I need to do this for it to go away > COMPLETELY!?

Also, when in the shower, I am afraid to use my shower puff on it, so I just lather some bar soap and rub my hand over it to wash it. Question, do I even need to do that, is that helping it stay alive?

Please advise, I am SO sick of this stupid and embarrassing ring!

    • Ring worm is a fungus. It will clear up with in a couple of days if you use tinactin (foot fungus) medicine. I really don’t understand why this isn’t common knowledge… People always do th bleach thing etc… If you put tinactin on it good (a good slather) and put a large bandaid on it when you go to bed, you’ll see a big difference in the morning.. good luck.

  5. When you get your hair bleached, does it mean that it grows out the bleach color or your natural color?
p.s. if you use bleach cream on your eyebrows- would it grow out the natural color or the new color>???

  6. How do i make my skin lighter?
i lived in california for a long time and im realy dark. i dont like to be dark cuz wenever i gt scares or somthin it showes on my skn. ndi no im dark becauz my forearm never tans and itis way lighter than my legs and arms also aroundmy breast ( another part that never tans) are realy light too. so could anyonr give me any advise on hw to make my skin light again?

    • PLEASE don’t use bleach… that’s dangerous and can kill you.

I have lightened my skin because I love the look of porcelain white skin against my dark hair (Vanessa Marano anyone?). I find that filling a bath with Lemon juice, Baking Soda, and/or a little bit of Hydrogen Peroxide works. Please don’t do this often because it will dry out your skin a lot. Do this once a week.

Also, there are some skin lightening creams and products out in the market. Jut do your research!

  7. How to fade a tan quickly?
Does anybody have any home remedies they use to fade their tan? i’ve got really dark from sunbathing too much and being pale suits me more (: any tips? oh, and no bleaching creams please, they’re dangerous apparently >.<

    • Unfortunately, time.
The pigment in your skin is called melanin. How dark your skin has to do with how much melanin is in your skin cells. Melanin is produced by special cells called melanocytes.
Tanning develops the melanin and makes your skin darker.
In about a month the tan will fade away, but you’ll need to use a lot of SPF to keep new melanin from producing.
Because the epidermis is mostly dead skin you can exfoliate up to 3 times a week. This will help slough off the dead cells quicker.

  8. How can I get “gorilla glue” stains off my hands>?
Have tried “goo-be-gone”, Clorox Bleach, Goop Hand Cleaner, SOS Pads….

    • You can try using a pumice stone, which will also exfoliate dead skin. Otherwise, wait 3 to 5 days for it to wear it off. Apply hand cream or lotion regularly to help soften the dried glue.

  9. I have dark marks on my face from popping pimples on my face, how do i get rid of them>?
is there bleaching cream that will work… and please do not say proactiv cause it does not work for me

    • Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.

      The Oil Cleansing Method
      What you will need:
      Warm Water
      Cold Water
      Clean Towels
      Castor Oil
      Olive Oil

The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.

You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.

Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.

Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

      Bye…
